Beginners start in the recreational classes where they work through the British Gymnastics Trampoline proficiency awards. Once a certain standard is achieved children are given the opportunity to compete for the club. Not all children wish to compete, some are happy to work through the awards scheme and achieve a good standard from that. Others enjoy the competitive side, and continue to work through the awards scheme as well as preparing for competitions.
Adults also work through the British Gymnastics Trampoline awards scheme and if they wish can work towards entering the British Veterans competition each year. The competition is split into two sections, Recreational for late starters into the sport, and Formers for those returning to the sport after retirement, or for advanced recreationals. It is a reflection of the quality of coaching on offer at the club that three of our four Formers entries at this year’s competition were all late starters into the sport.
We also provide additional training for students taking GCSE PE. We can cater for different examining boards - please discuss with a member of the coaching team.
Stunt training is also available and we usually have someone training for the stunt register with us. Again, please discuss with a member of the coaching team.
